Banner Text: Avian Corner Where a Fid Can Be a Fid; Embossed photos of Curio, Nanook, and Emma

Avian Corner began as a means for me to make something good come out of the tragic loss of Curio on February 6, 2001 to Zinc Toxicity: a form of metal poisoning attributed at the time mostly to larger species of domestic fids. Since its inception, to my knowledge, a minimum of five birds lives have been saved. It helps knowing that my wonderful Cinnamon Pearl Pied girl did not die without our tragic lesson being used for the greater good..
Since losing Curio, I have learned a lot about avian health or so I would like to believe that. It is my dream here to take a step back in time to when I got hooked on tiels- to share the many lessons I have learned, health tips that may benefit you and your fids, and of course lets not forget the wonderful fids themselves. .
